Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement management, preferably in development organization
• Experience working with local commodities transporters
• Experience in procurement support in emergency response
• Sound knowledge of international standards related to procurement and compliance
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and internet applications.
• Good English language communication skills (both oral and written).
• Good knowledge on country customs clearance with policies of sea & airports
• Ability to work in high stress situations and emergency response.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor Degree, preferably in Business Administration

Job Description / Responsibility

This position is mainly responsible for supporting Manager/Senior Manager-Procurement & Supply Chain by directly carrying out various procurement activities for Cox's bazar area office. The role encompasses procurement support to general procurement, program procurement as well as emergency preparedness and humanitarian relief procurements, including conduct open tender, RFQ/RFP and contract management. S/he will prepare purchase requisitions, get price quotes based on specifications, purchase goods, assist in customs clearing; take inventory, register goods in and out, and prepare input for reports. S/he is also responsible for learning and applying Bangladesh CO policies and procedures regarding procurement and supply chain emergency thresholds.
